Hi friends,

Our house has been struck by lightening yesterday.

The only good thing about it - NO ONE GOT HURT, but the loud explosion and the following darkness scared us to death (almost).

SAT dish and receiver grilled, TV grilled, desktop computer grilled, cable modem grilled, … That sucks big time.

We are slowly recovering, hooking up new computer (only firefox installed so far), Internet reduced to the “Emergency / Backup line” right now.

Have to go, get a new cable modem.

By the way: It came so quickly within less than 5 minutes! Only two lightenings and thunders in the neighbourhood before we got hit. I started to shut down the desktop, then it hit before I could disconnect from the wall outlet.
